Coding Your First HTML5 Game

I presented this talk at the Launch Festival 2013 in San Francisco on March 5, 2013. I walked through coding a simple HTML5 game using an open-source JavaScript library. Along the way, I introduced many of the technical terms you’ll hear related to HTML5 gaming: canvas, SVG, WebGL, web sockets, and more. I wanted the audience members to leave with an understanding of the techniques and sample code they would need to create their first game, as well as practical tips and ideas for expanding on that knowledge.
