I watched this video a few weeks ago, and it made quite an impression on me. It’s scary to think about the incredible power advertising has over us. Here’s a few sentences from the introduction:

I watched this video after finishing the science-fiction novel Shikasta that harshly critizes the materialism of Western society, with its insatiable drives to consume and accumulate. This video made that criticism all the more real to me.
